Stefano Spessotto
Nicoline Consultant
Stefano Spessotto hails from Pordenone, Italy, and refined his craft at the Art School of Udine. After three formative years in a leading advertising agency, he embarked on his path as a product designer, beginning with a pivotal collaboration with Cerasa. In 1990, his “Flut” model reimagined bathroom furniture and ushered in a new design ethos for the company and the industry. In 1991, he founded Dedalo Studio, branching into collaborations with leading brands such as Benetton, Le Coq Sportif, K2, Inda, Teuco, Arbi, Scavolini, Valcucine, and Ditre Italia, among others.
Spessotto’s multi-disciplinary practice spans industrial, graphic, and interior design, coupled with a strong sensibility for artistic direction. For many years he served as Artistic Director at Ditre Italia, and continues to guide creative vision for other furniture brands. His approach endows each creation with meaning, narrative, and emotional resonance, crafted to include the consumer in its story. Today, his studio focuses especially on sophisticated solutions tailored for compact, refined living environments. His process is defined by creativity, flexibility, responsibility, and an intrinsic human touch.
Spessotto’s creations masterfully balance functional clarity with emotional nuance. His work invites engagement while honoring the discipline of form. His designs are versatile yet refined, rooted in narrative and thoughtful detail, often revealing a quiet poetry in everyday objects, perfectly harmonising with Colzani’s voice of Italian luxury.
