Background
Beatriz Sempere, a designer for Nicoline, was born in Alicante, Spain (1975), and trained in industrial design in Valencia in 1998. She underwent further training in footwear pattern making at the Centro de Educación Tecnológica in Elche while designing for notable companies.
In 2000, Beatriz relocated to Italy, where she continued collaborating with architectural studios, melding Spanish tradition with refined, harmonious, linear, and geometric aesthetics. Her designs are quintessentially clean, romantic, modern, and rational.
Design, for Beatriz, is visual expression, a language to craft environments where human experience is at the forefront.
Signature Collections
Her debut industrialized furniture product, Apelle, remains a favorite, marked by grace and recognition, including the 2nd Prize for the Edward Haimsohn Design Award for Best Made in Italy: Originality and Quality, in San Diego. The Frisè armchair notably became her first design to gain pan-European acclaim.
Other remarkable collections include Guapa, as well as uniquely expressive projects: Loopy, MOU, Santiago, Clip, EMME, OH!, PlisPlas, and the recent nature-inspired series Forest.

Design Aesthetic
Beatriz Sempere’s creations embody the harmony of Spanish warmth and Italian precision, defined by clean lines, geometric balance, and subtle romanticism. She draws inspiration from nature, everyday life, and moments of introspection, translating them into furniture that feels both contemporary and timeless.
Every piece reflects her belief in uniting functionality with emotion, crafted to engage the senses while seamlessly complementing modern living spaces. She appreciates the 1970s design’s nonconformity and frivolity, but still speaks to the modern individual — addressing needs, contradictions, and taste with sobriety and harmony.
